FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW 2026 OPENS WITH GROUNDBREAKING FLYING DISPLAYS AND NEXT-GENERATION AEROSPACE INNOVATION

The world’s leading aerospace, defense, and space leaders have converged in Hampshire for the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 (FIA2026).

Running from July 20–24, 2026, this year’s edition delivers one of the most dynamic aerial displays and technology showcases in the airshow’s history, spanning supersonic fifth-generation defense, hybrid-electric flight, advanced air mobility (AAM), and commercial aviation.

Daily Aerial Display Highlights

Each afternoon, the skies over Farnborough feature an extraordinary line-up of frontline military capability, cutting-edge commercial airliners, zero-emission electric flight, and iconic heritage aircraft:

• Military Capabilities:

  • U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team: Headlining the show in their only public European display of the year.

  • Fursan Al Emarat (UAE National Aerobatics Team): Flying seven Hongdu L-15 jets in formation with smoke trails representing the UAE flag.

  • Joint Aviation Command Role Demo: Featuring the British Army Air Corps’ AH-64E Apache and Leonardo Wildcat HMA1 helicopters in tactical formation.

  • NATO Air Power: Flypasts and appearances by the RAF Eurofighter Typhoon, Czech Air Force Aero L-159 ALCA, and Embraer C-390 Millennium.

• Commercial & Business Jets:

  • Airbus A350-1000: Performing daily high-agility flight demonstrations showcasing long-haul flagship performance.

  • Bombardier Global 8000: Daily aerial showcases of one of the world’s fastest ultra-long-range business jets.

• Future of Flight & Zero-Emission Tech:

  • BETA Technologies CX300: Daily flight demonstrations of fully electric aircraft technology.

  • Vertical Aerospace VA-1X: Demonstrating the UK’s leading-edge progress in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) capabilities.

  • GE Aerospace & NASA Hybrid-Electric Flight: Demonstrating high-altitude hybrid-electric propulsion systems on testbed platforms.

• Heritage & Parachute Displays:
