The Royal Marines Corps Family is set to gather once again at the heart of the force’s heritage for the annual Corps Family Weekend 2025. From Friday, September 12th to Sunday, September 14th, the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) in Lympstone, Devon will open its gates to serving members, veterans, and their families for a weekend of celebration and camaraderie.
A Weekend of Tradition and Community
The weekend is a cornerstone event for the Royal Marines Charity, serving as a powerful demonstration of the unbreakable bonds within the Corps. It provides a unique opportunity for members of the entire Royal Marines family—from new recruits to seasoned veterans—to connect and celebrate their shared experiences.
The schedule is packed with events that honor the traditions of the Royal Marines:
- Friday, September 12th: The weekend kicks off with a Friday Night Band Concert, a free event for all attendees. The concert is a chance to enjoy the incredible musical talent of the Royal Marines Band.
- Saturday, September 13th: The main event, Families Day, begins at 11:00 AM. This day is dedicated to fun activities and displays, offering a rare glimpse into the daily life and training at CTCRM.
- Sunday, September 14th: The weekend concludes with a formal Sunday Parade, a moving spectacle that showcases the precision and discipline of the Royal Marines.
Important Details for Attendees
To ensure a smooth entry and a safe event for everyone, attendees should take note of the following:
- Entry: All serving members must present their MOD90, while RMA members need their RMA membership card and photo ID. Attendees can bring guests, but the host must vouch for them at the gate and accompany them throughout the event. All guests over 18 will need a photo ID.
- Tickets: The Friday night concert is a free, ticketed event with limited space, so it’s important for those who book tickets to attend or notify the organizers if they can no longer make it.
- Planning: The organizers are asking RMA members to express their interest in attending the Saturday and Sunday events to help them with planning for catering and security. While no physical tickets will be required for these days, an expression of interest helps ensure the event is a success for everyone.
- Rules: Only assistance dogs will be permitted on the camp.
