So we take a look at the all new Emirates Airbus A350-900 with a warm welcome to a media day at Farnborough International Airshow.

We were the first to take a look at this beautiful aircraft, with its new design and decor which was just stunning.

Emirates took center stage at the Farnborough International Airshow this week to showcase its brand-new Airbus A350-900, marking the airline’s first entirely new fleet addition in over fifteen years. Displayed prominently in the commercial static exhibit, the next-generation aircraft highlights Emirates’ commitment to modernizing its regional and long-haul operations with elevated passenger comfort and market-leading efficiency.

Cabin crew were only too keen and excited to show us around, and present us with new features and head rest upgrades to 4k tv units.

Configured with 312 seats across three distinct cabins, the new A350 introduces a tailored product architecture optimized for premium performance without compromising efficiency:

  • Business Class: 32 bespoke lie-flat leather seats inspired by luxury automotive design, featuring direct aisle access in a 1-2-1 layout, personal minibars, wireless charging pads, and exclusive access to a curated self-service snack bar.

  • Premium Economy: A dedicated cabin with 21 to 28 seats offering a generous 40-inch pitch, deep recline, raised footrests, and elevated dining served on chinaware.

  • Economy Class: 259 next-generation seats in a wide 3-3-3 layout, equipped with custom “U-Dream” ergonomic folding headrests and 13.3-inch 4K personal displays.

“The arrival of our Airbus A350-900 represents a major evolutionary leap for Emirates,” said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline. “This aircraft allows us to expand into regional and medium-haul markets with unmatched cabin standards. From high-speed ViaSat connectivity to subtle design touches reflecting our UAE heritage, every inch of this cabin was built with the passenger experience in mind.”

Technology & Sustainability Highlights

  • Next-Gen In-Flight Tech: Powered by ViaSat Global Xpress satellite systems, the fleet delivers up to 10x faster Wi-Fi speeds with continuous coverage across global polar routes. Every seat features 60-watt USB-C fast charging and Bluetooth audio pairing for personal headphones.

  • Enhanced Operational Efficiency: Driven by latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines and advanced aerodynamic architecture, the A350 delivers a 25% reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions compared to legacy widebody aircraft.

The Airbus A350-900 will support Emirates’ aggressive global network expansion, complementing its iconic A380 and Boeing 777 flagships as initial deliveries roll out across high-demand regional and long-haul routes.
