English singer-songwriter James Arthur delivered one of the weekend’s standout musical sets on Friday evening, electrifying a crowd of tens of thousands on the Main Stage at Boardmasters Festival 2026.

Taking the stage as twilight settled over the Cornish coastline, the Brit Award-nominated artist brought a powerful mix of raw vocal grit and festival-scale energy to Watergate Bay. Positioned in a high-profile sunset slot between Dizzee Rascal and alt-rock band The Kooks, Arthur commanded the headland from his opening track.

Opening with his upbeat anthem “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You,” Arthur quickly set an energetic tone, backed by heavy bass lines and crisp brass syncopation that resonated across the natural amphitheater of the cliffs.
