Emergency services are at the scene of a fire at Exeter City FC stadium St James Park – with footage showing the blaze ripping next to one of the stands.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to the football stadium around 10.10pm on Wednesday, November 12 after reports of a fire “affecting one of the stands.”
Footage from social media platform X showed orange flames engulf the grounds. The cause of the fire is still to be confirmed.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Three appliances and an aerial ladder platform were initially sent to the St James Park football stadium after smoke and flames were seen affecting a temporary building (portacabin) at the St James Road and Well Street end.
